Philip Rivers (concussion) cleared to play Sunday against Bills

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has been cleared to play in Week 11. The good news comes via the team’s official website, which says Rivers received clearance from an independent neurological consultant.

Rivers was in concussion protocol all week. His presence on the field against the Buffalo Bills definitely gives the Chargers the best opportunity to snap their two-game losing streak.

The 35-year-old quarterback has yet to ever miss a single game since starting for the Chargers in 2006. Rivers and the Chargers host the Bills this Sunday, and they will be featuring rookie quarterback Nathan Peterman.
