Cowboys All-Pro LB Sean Lee to miss Thursday’s game

Sean Lee

When the Dallas Cowboys host the Los Angeles Chargers on Thanksgiving in a battle for relevancy in the NFL, the struggling team will again be without All-Pro linebacker Sean Lee.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced on a radio appearance Tuesday that Lee will miss his second consecutive game with a hamstring injury.

This can’t be considered too much of a surprise, but it does put the Cowboys in a less-than-stellar situation as the team looks to avoid a three-game losing streak and inch to over .500 again on the season.

Since Lee went out early in Week 10’s loss to Atlanta, the Cowboys have been torched to the tune of 300-plus rushing yards.

Him being inactive Thanksgiving will surely have an adverse impact on the team’s performance against Chargers Pro Bowl running back Melvin Gordon.

Dallas currently finds itself at 5-5 on the season and one game back of the final wildcard spot in the NFC. A loss here would likely end any playoff aspirations the team might have.
