The New England Patriots plan to release right tackle Sebastian Vollmer, reports Tom Pelissero of USA Today Sports.
Veteran OT Sebastian Vollmer's contract tolled because he spent all last season on PUP. But the #Patriots plan to release him, source said.

Vollmer is 32 years old and has always dealt with injury issues. He spent all of last season on the PUP list and has not played a 16-game season since 2010. However, Vollmer has historically performed well according to Pro Football Focus grades, with 2015 being his first season with a grade below 80.
While we do not know what Vollmer’s plans are, it wouldn’t be surprising if he found another NFL home on a one-year deal if his health affords it.
