Ben Roethlisberger has funny response to question about Browns QBs

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has faced more than a few quarterbacks in his career against the Cleveland Browns. By more than a few, we mean he’s faced 12 already heading into Sunday’s game in Cleveland when he’ll take on the Cody Kessler-led Browns.

When asked if he could name all 12 of them, he responded with a laugh, “No chance,” per ESPN’s Pat McManamon.

Roethlisberger added, “I’d love to look at the numbers of which quarterback actually played the most. Because it felt like it was almost a different one every time.”

Roethlisberger was drafted by Pittsburgh in 2004. Since then, the Browns have trotted out 21 quarterbacks, 12 of which have gone head to head against Big Ben and the Steelers. Derek Anderson is the quarterback he’s faced the most, with four starts against the Steelers and Big Ben.

Needless to say, the Steelers have had slightly more success than their AFC North rival since then.

It’s for this reason that Roethisberger couldn’t believe the Browns had no interest in drafting Carson Wentz this past spring — a guy he thinks would have fit the AFC North perfectly. Based on how well Wentz has performed as a rookie, Cleveland might be privately lamenting its decision to forego drafting Wentz despite publicly maintaining a positive outlook on the situation.

At least Browns fans can hang their hat on the fact that the Browns aren’t concerned about wins or losses right now.
