Mino Raiola calls Jurgen Klopp ‘a piece of s***’

It’s fair to say Mario Balotelli hasn’t exactly done much at Liverpool. He came, he didn’t play well and faded into obscurity, becoming very much surplus to requirements — a 19 million dollar mistake.

It’s hardly a surprise considering how it all ended at Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp made it clear Balotelli had no place in his plans. He was honest, and it’s credit to the player that, even though he was forced to train alone, there was no histrionics.

A sign that either Balotelli didn’t care, or if we’re thinking positively, a sign of a new level of maturity.

So, Klopp was honest and Balotelli was patient.

This leaves us wondering why super agent Mino Raiola feelt so upset over Klopp’s treatment of the player

“At the end of the day, the Liverpool directors admitted Klopp was unfair. I won’t judge him as a coach, even if for me he isn’t a great tactician, but I don’t think he realized we were talking about a person. Mario was exemplary, he never complained even when training alone.

It’s not enough to say Klopp was unfair: he was a piece of s–t,” via La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Football Italia).

It sure is an interesting opinion.

Perhaps a lot more happened behind the scenes than what was revealed? If so, Balotelli will definitely reveal all at some point.
