The Reddit community is all kinds of awesome. Take, for instance, Cleveland Cavaliers fan PARTYxDIRTYDAN, who promised he’d eat his own shirt if the Golden State Warriors completed the comeback after winning Game 5 in Oakland. At that point, the Warriors were still down 3-2 to the Oklahoma City Thunder and were headed back to OKC for Game 6.
“if the Warriors win the series ill eat my shirt to make up for cavs fans, you have my word,” PARTYxDIRTYDAN wrote.
Well, the Warriors completed the epic comeback by beating the Thunder 96-88 at home in Game 7 after winning in thrilling fashion the game before. They head back to the NBA Finals for the second consecutive year.
Their victory put PARTYxDIRTYDAN in quite the predicament, but he proved to be a man of honor.
Here he is, eating his own shirt.
“It wasn’t terrible with barbecue sauce,” he said.
