Pranks are nothing new with professional baseball players, regardless of April Fool’s Day. Combine the two and you can get some wonderful — and cruel — pranks. Mike Trout and some of his Los Angeles Angels teammates combined for a whopper on teammate Garrett Richards.

As far as pranks go, this is a pretty solid one. While it dealt with a serious issue, it also didn’t drag on too long, which is where pranks often go from funny to something else.

Richards did tell Bill Shaiklin of the Los Angeles Times that the matter was not done.

“Richards did have one other thing to say: He will get his revenge on Trout for the prank.

‘It’s going to go down at some point,’ he said.”

So we all have that to look forward to. Stay tuned.
