President Obama Hits the Links with ESPN’s Michael Wilbon

President Barack Obama isn’t necessarily shy when it comes to hanging out with celebrities. In fact, he’s been kind to those in Hollywood and the sports world. So it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Obama hit the links with ESPN’s Michael Wilbon on Saturday.

The Associated Press paints a picture of how the gold four-some went down in Maryland on Saturday.

The White House says the other two members of Obama’s foursome are White House aide Marvin Nicholson and Glenn Hutchins. Hutchins is a co-founder of the technology investment firm Silver Lake Partners. Obama has played with Wilbon and Hutchins on past outings.

Obama has previously hit the links with other ESPN personalities such as Tony Kornheiser, who is Wilbon’s co-host on Pardon the Interruption.

Personally, I would rather see Obama hit the golf course with Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless. Oh, to be a fly on the golf club for that one. Heck, maybe former Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley could join them on the links. That would be grand.

Wilbon, a native of Chicago, has likely had his run-ins with Obama in the past and supported the president in both his election and re-election bids.
