The story here isn’t that New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan decided to head to Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. It’s likely his last trip of the year anywhere outside of New Jersey, training camp and wherever the Jets visit during the 2014 regular season.
Deadspin posted a couple photos of Ryan enjoying the World Cup in Brazil and something was missing…about a few dozen pounds or so.

We knew that Ryan has lost a lot of weight, but this is a rather shocking photo right here. Take a serious gander at the Jets head coach from a couple years back and tell us you don’t notice a dramatic difference.
It’s rare to post a weight-loss story surrounding a professional football coach, but we have to give credit where it is due. Ryan’s dramatic success in this aspect is absolutely amazing.
Good for him.
