Michael Vick will work for Chiefs as coaching intern

Former quarterback Michael Vick is returning to the NFL as a coach. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Vick has a long-term goal of getting into coaching and will start that goal by working with the Kansas City Chiefs over the summer.

Vick has a connection to the Chiefs — specifically coach Andy Reid. Reid was the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles when they signed Vick after his time in prison for dog fighting.

Vick was last seen in the NFL in 2015 as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Following the 2016 season, he officially retired. His name has been in the news recently, though, making comments about free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his hair. Vick has also stated that he’ll play in a flag football league, which will launch in 2018.
