Chris Bosh: Kyrie Irving and LeBron James need to ‘work it out’

Amid reports that a Kyrie Irving trade is “almost inevitable” and that his differences with LeBron James are irreconcilable, one former teammate of The King thinks the two sides should figure out a way to work out their differences.

Chris Bosh, who played four seasons with James and won a couple of championships, told TMZ Sports James and Irving need to “work it out.” Though, he did note that he understands Irving’s desire to create his own legacy away from one of the NBA’s all-time greats.

“Absolutely, that’s what we all want right?”

Based on what we’ve been hearing from NBA insiders, this has more to do with Irving wanting to move away from James’ shadow than anything else. Irving said last year that he had talked to Kobe Bryant about their shared experience playing with a dominant superstar. At the time, he appeared to be content being Robin to James’ Batman, but that appears to no longer be the case.

Though, perhaps there’s a lot more to the story than meets the eye. Irving recently unfollowed James on Instagram, indicating he’s sick and tired of even seeing his teammate on social media.

For his part, James has slammed the notion that he wants to fight Irving or that he even wants to see him leave Cleveland. The two of them have made it to three straight NBA Finals, winning a championship, so clearly something has been working.

Time will tell if they can “work it out” or not.
