Report: Kings to sign EuroLeague star Bogdan Bogdanovic

The Kings are reportedly signing Euro star Bogdan Bogdanović

Coming off a successful draft that saw them add De’Aaron Fox and Justin Jackson in the first round, the Sacramento Kings are reportedly bringing in yet another reinforcement. Multiple reports are suggesting that Sacramento will sign EuroLeague star Bogdan Bogdanovic to a three-year, $36 million contract.

The 24-year-old Serbian guard was an original first-round pick of the Phoenix Suns back in 2014. They then dealt him to Sacramento on draft day.

Bogdanovic earned All-EuroLeague First Team honors while playing with Fenerbahçe of the Turkish Basketball Super League last season. He averaged 14.6 points while shooting at a 50 percent mark from the field, including a tremendous 43 percent clip from distance.

At 6-foot-6, there’s a chance Bogdanovic could play out on the wing next to the back-court combo of Fox and Buddy Hield. Though, it seems more likely that he’ll start his NBA career as a top bench option in Sacramento.

This is just a continuation of the Kings building a solid young nucleus following February’s trade of DeMarcus Cousins. With Fox, Hield, Bogdanovic and Jackson aboard, there’s surely a lot of talent in California’s capital city.
