Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett has never been afraid to speak up on the issues of the day. He’s about as vocal of a player that we have seen come down the pike in some time.
Bennett now seems to be putting his money where his mouth is. The Pro Bowler is apparently prepared to donate all of his endorsement earnings in 2017 to help rebuild minority communities around the United States.

It surely is an interesting gesture from Bennett. If other professional athletes would follow suit, this could go a long way in helping downtrodden communities get back on their feet.
As it relates to Bennett himself, he might not be that well-known nationally, but the eight-year veteran surely has brand recognition in the Pacific Northwest and within the larger football community.
It’s no small gesture on the part of a player that has been about as divisive as it gets with his off-field political and societal commentary.
