Rams sign Michael Brockers to three-year extension

The Los Angeles Rams have locked up one of the mainstays along their defensive line. The team announced that it has signed Michael Brockers to a three-year extension.

Brockers, a first-round pick of the Rams back in 2012, has started 16 games in each of the past three seasons. Last year saw the former LSU standout record 44 tackles and three sacks playing next to Aaron Donald at defensive tackle.

Brockers grades out as one of the top run-stuffing interior linemen in the NFL. He’s the perfect complement to what Donald brings to the table from a pass-rush standpoint.

The deal is said to be worth $33-plus million with more than $16 million in guarantees.
