Cincinnati Bengals receiver A.J. Green exited Sunday’s game with a knee injury. Fortunately for the Bengals and their fans, the team announced that the injury is not serious.

That the injury isn’t considered serious is certainly good news.
Seeing Green limp of of the field no doubt made anyone associated with Cincinnati nervous. Non-contacts injuries — like the one that plagued Green on Sunday — are sometimes worse than injuries sustained on hits.
Cincinnati closes out its preseason on Thursday against the Indianapolis Colts. Given his star status, Green was unlikely to play in that game, anyway. Now that he’s left this one with an injury, even a minor one, he’s even more likely to sit out the preseason finale.
But the most important thing for the Bengals, their fans, and fantasy owners everywhere, is that we should see Green in action in Week 1 of the regular season on the road against the New York Jets.
