Watch: NBA releases awesome video from Bulls record season

Those around the NBA know full well that the Chicago Bulls record of 72 wins in a single season could end up being tied or broken at some point this week.

With wins in their final two regular season games, the Golden State Warriors can best that all-time great season. A win in one of their final two games would tie the Bulls mark.

Considered the greatest collection of talent in the history of the Association, the 1995-96 Bulls ran roughshod over the rest of the league, tallying a 72-10 regular season record before posting a 15-3 postseason record en route to the team’s first of three consecutive NBA titles.

It’s nice to see the league pay homage to its history as history itself could be on the verge of being made.

If Golden State were to end with 72-plus wins and earn a second consecutive title, a debate regarding its place in Association history will rage big time.

As someone whose formative years came during the Bulls run, even this Warriors fan has a hard time comparing any team to what Michael Jordan and Co. did in 1995-96.

Though, these Warriors are mighty good in their own right.
