We all know that wide receiver Wes Welker is a fan of the Kentucky Derby. However, this year Welker may have a horse in the race.
Literally.
Welker almost claimed a first place finish with his horse named “Undrafted” in the pre-Kentucky Derby race. Unfortunately, the horse lost by a hair.

Considering second place pays off, Welker is still a winner. Will he be cascading $100’s around Kentucky this afternoon? That’s the big question.
He hit big last year at the Derby, handing cash out left and right after earning that cash money.
Welker’s former teammates with the Patriots, who also traveled to attend the Derby, watched “Undrafted” place second. I wonder if any of them bet on Welker’s horse.
