Report: Tim Tebow Working out for the Philadelphia Eagles

You simply cannot make this stuff up. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Philadelphia Eagles are working out former first-round pick Tim Tebow on Monday.

Tebow, who has been out of the league since 2013, is apparently in the midst of a comeback attempt. It was reported earlier this month that Tebow was considering attending the first ever veteran combine in Arizona later in March.

Tebow, 27, has been working on his passing skills with quarterback guru Tom House, who had this to say about the former NFL signal caller.

He (Tebow) went from being a little inaccurate and didn’t throw a whole lot of spirals, to throwing very accurate and real good at spinning the ball.

Whether this will be enough for a team to give Tebow a chance to continue his NFL career remains to be seen. However, the Eagles wouldn’t necessarily surprise anyone with anything they do moving forward this offseason. After trading both Nick Foles and LeSean McCoy, nothing is etched in stone with Chip Kelly’s squad.

Despite being out of the league last year, Tebow’s numbers aren’t terrible. He has put up 29 total touchdowns compared to nine interceptions in 14 career NFL starts.

However, it’s important to note that this is just workout. If Tebow were to sign with Philadelphia, he’d likely be nothing more than training camp fodder to compete for the third-string job behind Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez.
