LeSean McCoy and Bills Agree to Five-Year, $40 Million Deal

According to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, the Buffalo Bills and running back LeSean McCoy have agreed to a new five-year, $40 million contract.

The contract also comes with a guaranteed amount of $26.5 million, which concurs with earlier reports that the Bills were going to take “very good care” of McCoy in his new deal. McCoy was acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles for Kiko Alonso last week. The trade becomes official on Tuesday upon the start of the new league year.

Over the course of his six-year NFL career, McCoy has rushed for 6,792 yards and scored 44 touchdowns.

With an average annual salary of $8 million, McCoy ranks fifth among NFL running backs. His guaranteed total of $26.5 million is second to only Adrian Peterson.
