Okay, so it was against the 49ers’ second-team defense, but you have to admit, Manning still looked fantastic. He plowed through two series, completing 12 or 14 passes for 102 yards and landed a touchdown pass into the hands of tight end, Julius Thomas. Manning ended his appearance with a 120.8 rating before handing the game over to backup quarterback Brock Osweiler.
The most interesting stat, however is that Manning actually had one rush yard. That’s 32 more yards than he had all last season. Not bad for a 38-year-old who has as much mobility as a turtle carrying luggage.

Manning’s drives contributed to a 34-0 landslide blowout win against the 49ers in their brand-new Levi’s Stadium. Broncos and Manning fans are thrilled, while the 49ers’ crowd is just wishing this whole day would end.
The next chance to see Manning in action is when the Denver Broncos host the Houston Texans, on Saturday, August 23.
