Malcom Floyd, who suffered a season-ending neck injury last September, has been cleared for practice, and will join his fellow San Diego Chargers in voluntary workouts which start next week. The 32 year old has yet to be cleared for contact, but the workouts will be a good start.
I spoke at length with Malcom Floyd yesterday. He's beyond excited for 2014 & plans on attending offseason workouts: http://t.co/L0SF13Qxcm

Per NFL.com, sounding fairly upbeat, Floyd had this to say:
I know that’s going to take a lot of hard work but I am willing to do it…I am more excited for this year than ever before … I missed just being able to do what a normal human being does. But now that I’m feeling normal, I feel myself getting into beast mode. I’m ready for the season to start.
Marshawn Lynch might have something to say about Floyd referring to his “beast mode”, but nevertheless, Floyd fans should be happy.
How much the Chargers utilize Floyd in 2014 will remain to be seen. We cannot discount the Chargers’ 2013 rookie wide receiver, Keenan Allen, who was quite the bomb in covering the bulk of the receiving duties for the team, scoring eight touchdowns and racking up 1,046 receiving yards during his first year.
