The Philadelphia 76ers took on the Guangzhou Loong Lions of the Chinese Basketball League Tuesday evening.

It represented Ben Simmons’ first real opportunity to show that he has improved a previously non-existent outside shot.

With time running out in the second quarter and Philly up 79-41, Simmons did that. He actually legitimately hit a three-pointer.

As you can see Simmons’ teammates were losing their mind on the bench. It’s almost like they won the NBA title or something.

A real MVP candidate if he can ever find an outside shot, Simmons has been working on his range all summer after connecting on 0-of-17 from three-point distance in his first two NBA seasons. So far, so good.
