Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue doesn’t think anything good could come from starting any social media accounts.
In fact, he took it a step further than that in an interview with Dave McMenamin of ESPN, saying “I think it’s trouble.”
Here’s an excerpt from the interview Lue did with McMenamin.
While some might think Lue’s view on this subject is antiquated, the fact remains that many professional athletes and even some coaches have gotten themselves into trouble on social media.
In this age, famous people can’t even slip up for a minute without someone capturing a screenshot of a foolish tweet before wisdom cries out and they delete the message. Some players and coaches seem to handle the job of being smart with their social media messages, but there are far too many who fail in this regard (just ask Dikembe Mutombo).
So with that in mind, don’t hate on Lue for staying away. Besides, he’s got better things to do right now, like trying to bring a championship back to Cleveland.
