Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, the greatest player in NFL history, continues to defy Father Time like no other. On his 44th birthday, coming just weeks before the 2021 season, the football world remains stunned that he will take the field as a defending Super Bowl champion.

A seven-time Super Bowl champion and five-time Super Bowl MVP, Brady is closing in on his 22nd season in the NFL. Incredibly, as many have detailed, the all-time great’s NFL career could be separated into three parts (2000-’06, 2007-’13, 2014-’20) and each would have a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Holding the NFL record for career wins (230), touchdown passes (581), passing attempts (10,598) and every playoff passing record, Brady will have a chance to further add to his legacy this season.

As the Buccaneers hit the practice field on Tuesday preparing to defend their Super Bowl title, with their quarterback receiving the gift of a day off from Bruce Arians, the NFL world celebrated Brady’s 44th birthday.
