Former MLB star being sued for posting ‘revenge porn’ on Facebook

Jacque Jones of the Washington Nationals

Washington Nationals assistant coach Jacque Jones has been suspended by the team after a lawsuit revealed that Jones allegedly shared initimate photos of a former girlfriend.

The relationship, which ended in August, alleges that Jones distributed nude photos of the plaintiff – referenced as Jane Doe in the filing. This type of conduct is commonly referred to as revenge porn.

According to the Washington Post, Jones posted the images to a Facebook friend with the message:

“Ask ya homegirl if she wants these back? I see your post and she’s on some bull (expletive). She’s loony and the type of chick that makes a (expletive) wanna stay single.”

Jones’ best seasons came with the Minnesota Twins around the turn of the century before his playing career ended in 2008. He is currently in his second season as a coach with the Nationals.

Washington manager Dusty Baker called the suspension “kind of a downer.”
