As the New York Yankees gear up for the final stretch run in the regular season, they can now welcome back one of their most important contributors in an area of pressing need.
On Friday, New York activated left-handed pitcher CC Sabathia off the 10-day disabled list after he missed nearly two weeks of action with mild inflammation in his right knee.
Prior to tonight's game, the Yankees reinstated LHP CC Sabathia from the 10-day disabled list.

Sabathia will return to the mound for Friday’s contest against the Baltimore Orioles. It should provide the 38-year-old with the opportunity to further improve upon his numbers this season.
Across 22 starts, the southpaw posted a 3.32 ERA, .241 batting average allowed and surrendered a 1.28 WHIP in 119.1 innings. As long as Sabathia remains healthy, he can provide stability in the middle of New York’s rotation.
