The New York Jets were in position to score just before halftime against the Baltimore Ravens, and then Sam Darnold threw a horrific interception to kill the drive.
It’s hard to say exactly what Darnold saw or was thinking on this play.
He either didn’t see Chuck Clark lurking, or he was just really, really off on his placement on this attempt.
The Jets were at the Baltimore 25-yard line at the time of this ill-conceived throw into the red zone by Darnold. Instead of narrowing the gap, the Jets went into halftime down two touchdowns, 21-7.
