During Sunday’s game against the San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers center fielder Carlos Tocci made an extraordinary play to rob Andrew McCutchen of a potential extra-base hit.
Tocci completely sold out on this play, putting his body at risk of harm in the process.

Indeed, Tocci did appear to get banged up here as his wrist bent back painfully. He remained in the game, however, showing toughness that his teammates will admire and respect.
This may not rank up there with the best web gems of the 2018 season, but it certainly gets an honorable mention.
