Vikings-49ers NFC Playoff tickets among the most expensive of the past decade

Vikings-49ers NFL Playoffs

The San Francisco 49ers will host their first ever playoff game at Levi’s Stadium Saturday afternoon when they take on the Minnesota Vikings.

As the No. 1 seed in the NFC following a shocking 13-3 regular season, demand for tickets to this game are going to be high. That’s magnified by Minnesota’s upset win over the New Orleans Saints last week.

Ticket IQ ran the numbers, and the prices for Saturday’s game at Levi’s are through the roof. In fact, the average ticket cost of $571 is third-most in the NFL Divisional Playoffs over the past decade.

It can’t be too much of a surprise that tickets to last season’s divisional round game between the Cowboys and Rams stand above the rest. The Cowboys draw well on the road. Away teams take over home stadiums in Southern California. Those were all factors in that.

There’s obviously a whole lot riding on the Vikings and 49ers game. Specifically, both Kirk Cousins and Jimmy Garoppolo have a lot to prove.

It should be a blast for the fans that can actually afford to make their way to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
