West Virginia quarterback Will Grier appeared to break his middle finger Saturday against Texas, and it was disgusting. He was diving for a touchdown when his finger was horribly bent the wrong way, and those watching were scarred for life.

The score did put West Virginia up…momentarily. Unfortunately, it was ruled after review that Grier lost possession of the ball right before crossing the goal line, thus turning the touchdown into a touchback for Texas and erasing those precious points.
Talk about adding insult to injury.

Grier has been one of the best quarterbacks in the nation this year. He’s passed for 3,490 yards with 34 touchdowns and has been the main force behind one of the highest-scoring offenses in college football.
He had to go into the locker room shortly after injuring his finger and was replaced by sophomore Chris Chuganov.
