This goal put Argentina up 1-0 in the critical must-win contest.
It was also Messi’s first of this World Cup, and interestingly it was the 100th goal of the World Cup, too.

It had Twitter users everywhere absolutely aghast over the level of skill required to pull it off.
Controlled off his left thigh with another touch on his right foot before a 40-yard pass touches the ground. Like, come on.

That Messi kid is pretty good. Maybe he'll get picked up by a big club if he keeps playing well.

We are so privileged to live in the era of Ronaldo and Messi. It could be decades before we ever see their like again.
