Terrell Owens hits back at Donovan McNabb over accusation: ‘This guy is a joke!’

Donovan McNabb opened up about his experience with Terrell Owens and accused him of breaking up the Philadelphia Eagles. Now TO has responded.

McNabb spoke with Master Tesfatsion of Bleacher Report’s “Untold Stories” and ripped into Owens discussing their shared time with the Eagles. In his interview, McNabb said he thought the Eagles were going to be a force to be reckoned with after losing Super Bowl XXXIX. Then, he says, Owens’ “Days of our Lives” offseason, “kinda broke us up.”

McNabb talked about how the Eagles were going to be bringing the whole gang back for another Super Bowl run.

“…the offseason goes through and all of the sudden there’s turmoil here and there are conversations going back and forth and we had to answer those questions instead of focusing on what we need to do in order to get back to where we were. And I thought that was the major distraction for us. He’s doing sit ups, he’s doing push ups, he’s playing basketball, he’s ordering pizza for the people out there. And we sitting there in training camp just like, you gotta be kidding me.”

“Brian Dawkins and Trotter were my roommates. And Dawk would come in and he’s like, ‘Man what’d he do now?’ And I’m like, ‘Take a look. This is like Days of Our Lives.’ That was something that kind of broke us up. That was the most frustrating for me because I knew what we could do and if we decided to just come together, what we’d be able to accomplish.”

In conclusion, McNabb said he’d “give a nice peace sign and keep it moving” if he saw Owens in person.

Well, Owens not surprisingly saw all of this and took to his Twitter account for his reaction.

And for good measure, Owens tweeted that he cannot wait to tell his story, noting he’d bring popcorn, would do sit-ups and eat a “couple cans of “CHUNKY SOUP!!” and hinted it was McNabb’s fault the Eagles broke up.

This, of course, isn’t the first time Owens has tried to bury McNabb for all to see.

Social media sure seems to be catnip for many professional athletes, both current and former. One thing seems certain regarding all this, which is that it’s probably nowhere near being over. Get your popcorn ready!
