Shortly after the Washington Redskins selected Dwayne Haskins with the No. 15 pick in the NFL Draft, Robert Griffin III had an interesting tweet.
Griffin, who himself was a first-round pick of the Redskins in 2012, congratulated Haskins. In doing so, he threw some pretty solid shade towards his former team.
Griffin won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award in 2012. After that, his career was severely limited by injuries. He remained with the team through the 2015 season, although he didn’t play at all in that last year. After that, Griffin was released.
It’s pretty clear that he has some lingering feelings about the way things ended.
