Marshawn Lynch files for ‘Beast Quake’ trademark

Marshawn Lynch

The Seattle Seahawks on Monday night signed former star running back Marshawn Lynch as the team looks to win the NFC West against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 17.

This move comes with Lynch last suiting up back Week 6 of the 2018 season. It also comes after Seattle lost running backs C.J. Prosise and Chris Carson to serious injuries last week.

Always and forever a Seahawk, it was not a surprise that Lynch returned to the Pacific Northwest. As much as he wants to help Seattle overcome San Francisco and earn the division title, this is a business opportunity as well.

So it’s not a surprise that Beast Mode legit just filed for a “Beast Quake” trademark ahead of his return to Seattle.

The filing came Dec. 17, about one week after Lynch started seriously considering a return to his old roots. This can’t be seen as a coincidence.

As savvy as any NFL player when it comes to the business side of the sport, Lynch knows full well that a tremendous on-field performance Sunday night against the 49ers will help his individual brand a whole lot.

It’s that good old Cal education for you.
