YouTube star Jake Paul will fight boxing legend Mike Tyson on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The match will be shown live on Netflix and will be the first live sporting event on the popular streaming service.

Paul, 27, has 20.5 million subscribers on YouTube and is the younger brother to internet sensation Logan Paul. Jake (9-1, 6 KOs) made his boxing debut in 2020 and has consistently clamored to fight some of the sport’s best fighters. In March, he delivered a first-round knockout of Ryan Bourland after a barrage of punches.

Tyson, 57, is one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, but hasn’t fought since 2005. The New York native has remained in shape, all while flashing his trademark punching power in viral videos. He also has a successful podcast titled “Hotboxin with Mike Tyson,” which has featured notable guests including Ryan Garcia, Errol Spence Jr., and many more. Tyson trained MMA fighter Francis Ngannou in a valiant effort versus heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

While this fight may not make sense to the boxing world, it’ll generate a lot of viewers and attention given who’s competing and the venue.
