Jaguars Pro Bowler A.J. Bouye will not play Week 8 in London

At 3-4 on the season and in the midst of a three-game losing streak, the Jacksonville Jaguars are already behind the proverbial eight-ball.

If they were to lose to the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles in London on Sunday, a season that started with Super Bowl expectations could very well go down in flames.

As if this wasn’t bad enough, Jacksonville will be without Pro Bowl cornerback A.J. Bouye for this Week 8 outing between two underperforming teams.

Bouye, 27, suffered a calf injury in last week’s loss to the Houston Texans and isn’t making the trip across the pond with the rest of his team.

This just isn’t good news for the Jaguars. Since signing a five-year, $67.5 million deal with the team prior to last season, Bouye has been among the best corners in the game. During that span, he’s recorded 23 passes defended and seven interceptions in 23 games.

The onus will now be on fellow Pro Bowler Jalen Ramsey to step up against Carson Wentz and the Eagles come Sunday.
