Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is attempting to win his third Super Bowl title, an accomplishment that would etch his name in stone as one of the greatest to ever do it.

It wasn’t always going to turn out this way. Reid, 65, coached the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999-2012, leading the team to a stout 130-93-1 record. Unfortunately, his tenure in the City of Brotherly Love did not include a Super Bowl title before the two parted ways.

It’s been completely different since Reid took over as the Chiefs’ head coach back in 2013. They are appearing in their fourth Super Bowl under Reid with two titles to their name.

Ahead of Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday against the San Francico 49ers, Reid was seen hanging out with Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie. The two hugged it out prior to the game inside Allegiant Stadium. It was a really cool scene.

It’s really cool to see Reid embrace his former boss, especially after his tenure in Philadelphia ended years ago.

With a win on Sunday, Reid would join Joe Gibbs and Bill Walsh as head coaches with three career Super Bowl victories. They stand behind only Bill Belichick and Chuck Noll on the all-time list.
