Aaron Rodgers invests in Bitcoin, to give away $1 million in currency

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is a smooth operator on the football field. The reigning NFL MVP has his team in the midst of a seven-game winning streak and is coming off a victory over the previously undefeated Arizona Cardinals.

Off the field, Rodgers seems just as smooth.

The veteran quarterback took to social media on Monday to announce that he’s going to be taking some of his $33.5 million salary via the cryptocurrency Bitcoin. He also pledged to give out a total of $1 million in Bitcoin to fans. In his explanation, Aaron Rodgers simply stated “Bitcoin to the moon.”

Talk about a great PR job from Rodgers and his team.

The Super Bowl quarterback is the latest NFL star to announce that he’s going to take some of his salary in cryptocurrency. It started out with veteran offensive lineman Russell Okung.
