WATCH: Russell Wilson connects with D.K. Metcalf on 40-yard TD

Seattle Seahawks rookie wide receiver D.K. Metcalf is going to be a problem. Quarterback Russell Wilson has already been a problem Thursday night against a suspect Los Angeles Rams pass defense.

The two took this to a whole new level. Up 7-6 and driving midway through the second quarter, Wilson hit the second-round pick in stride for a beautiful 40-yard touchdown.

We’re not exactly sure what type of defense that was from the Rams. Safety John Johnson took a horrible angle. Pro Bowl cornerback Marcus Peters seemed confused.

That’s what the Seahawks’ offense and Russell Wilson will do. They confuse defenses. And in the midst of an historical start to the season, Wilson is playing the best football of his career.

As it relates to Metcalf, he entered Thursday’s game having put up 223 yards at an average of 22.3 yards per catch through four games this season.
