Tim Tebow congratulates former teammate Erick Decker on ‘awesome’ career

Tim Tebow and Eric Decker suited up together as members of the Denver Broncos for two seasons. The two represented Denver’s best pass-and-catch duo of the 2011 season with Decker leading the team in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.

Following Decker’s retirement from the NFL this past weekend, Tebow took time out of his day to congratulate his former receiver on an “awesome” career.

Currently a minor league baseball player in the New York Mets’ organization, most of Tebow’s success in the NFL came with Decker catching passes from him. In fact, the 2011 campaign was Tebow’s only real action as a full-time NFL starting quarterback.

It’s great to see the former Heisman winner show support for a teammate that helped him navigate through an NFL that wasn’t too kind to the quarterback.
