The Washington Redskins could be the most interesting team to watch during the 2019 NFL Draft. Owner Daniel Snyder has reportedly taken over the first round — things didn’t go well the last time he did that — and now comes more information about conflict within the organization.
According to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, there is disagreement about whether to select Dwayne Haskins or Daniel Jones, with president Bruce Allen and Snyder pushing for Haskins.
Washington needs a quarterback. That’s a fact. With Case Keenum being the only viable option right now (Colt McCoy is recovering from a third surgery on his broken leg from last year) the team really should be desperate to make a move.
There are reports that Washington is looking to get up into the top five to land a quarterback, and that Jones is the guy they want. However, if Snyder has taken over, and if he likes Haskins, Jones won’t likely be selected.
One of the biggest dumpster fires around the league on an annual basis, it appears Washington is once more living up to that standard.
