Notre Dame’s annual clash with Navy is headed overseas. The schools announced the 2020 matchup will be played at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

That contest will mark the second matchup between the programs in Ireland. Notre Dame rolled to a 50-10 victory in 2012.

“I’m so excited, not only for our student-athletes and those that will travel from the states, but for the people of Ireland and all of those that will make this another experience to cherish,” said Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick.

Notre Dame holds a 75-13-1 lead in the series, though four of Navy’s victories have happened since 2007. The teams are set to square off Saturday in San Diego, further adding to the history of neutral-site tilts.

During this millennium, Annapolis, Baltimore, Jacksonville, East Rutherford and Orlando have all hosted the matchup in addition to meetings in South Bend every other year.

MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford was previously slated to host the 2020 game.
