Brandon Weeden thinks he played efficiently
The Dallas Cowboys are now 2-1 losing their first game with backup quarterback Brandon Weeden under center.
Although, Weeden isn’t too sure what went wrong on his end:
“Overall I thought I was efficient,” Weeden said (via the Dallas Morning News). “The one I would like to have back was the one to [Jason] Witten on the seam. I don’t miss that throw. I couldn’t run down through it. I probably would have hit my hand on his helmet. I just barely missed that one and I’d like to have it back.”
Weeden wasn’t awful, however his inability to connect with any receivers for a score was concerning. The only points put on the board in Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons were made by Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden, who scored a total of four touchdowns.
Weeden finished the day with an overall quarterback rating of 54.2 after completing 22 of 26 passes for 232 yards and an interception.
