This is a story we just can’t get enough of. Anyone who grew up in less-than-great situations fully understands what Chicago Bears edge rusher Khalil Mack’s altruism means for hundreds of needy Florida citizens.
Mack just paid off all of the layaway accounts at Walmart in his hometown of Fort Pierce, FLA. This helped out north of 300 people.
“We here at Walmart would like to thank the Khalil Mack Foundation for your generosity, and for making so many families happy for the holidays,” the Fort Pierce store posted, via the Chicago Tribune. “Everyone is truly grateful for everything you have done for them!”
This is one of the best things a person in Mack’s situation can do. Parents throughout the United States stress about providing their children with a great holiday season. What better way to help them out than to pay off their layaway accounts?
All said, Mack doled out about $80,000 through his foundation to help those in need.
