If you thought Washington Nationals tickets for the NLCS were in high demand, just wait until you see this.

Fresh off earning their first ever World Series appearance after a series sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals, the average cost for one ticket in D.C. for the Fall Classic currently sits at $1,225.

That’s a whole lot of cash to spend for three-plus hours of entertainment. It goes without saying that the Nationals are the hottest thing in D.C., maybe outside of the word “impeachment.”

Here’s a team that started the season with a 19-31 record. Manager Dave Martinez was squarely on the chopping block.

What has followed is one of the greatest stories in recent MLB history. To be a part of it moving forward, you’ll have to sell your financial soul.
