Week 11 college football picks: Top 25 predictions
Our college football picks for Week 11 are straight up. However, the lines are provided by BetMGM.
No. 3 Michigan Spartans vs No. 10 Penn State Nittany Lions
- Total: 45.5
- Spread: Michigan -4.5
The Michigan Wolverines haven’t faced a ranked opponent this season and are now thrown into the fire in one of the most raucous atmospheres in college football against 10th-ranked Penn State. Both the Nittany Lions and Wolverines have two of the best defenses in college football and All-Conference talent at skill positions on both sides of the ball. However, Michigan holds a massive advantage at quarterback. Plus, Penn State head coach James Franklin has a 3-16 record against top-10 opponents since taking over the Nittany Lions’ program.
- Prediction: Michigan Wolverines 24, Penn State Nittany Lions 17
Kentucky Wildcats vs No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide
- Total: 47.0
- Spread: Alabama -10.5
Since the second half of the Tennessee game, we’ve seen a much more dominant version of the Alabama Crimson Tide. While the Kentucky Wildcats have been a formidable SEC team this season, the level of talent and coaching is just far too massive. Even with Kentucky having the home-field advantage, Milroe and Co. should roll in this matchup.
- Prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide 31, Kentucky Wildcats 21

Kansas Jayhawks vs Texas Tech Red Raiders
- Total: 62.0
- Spread: Kansas -3.5
Some viewed Texas Tech as a potential top-40 program this season, but things haven’t gone according to plan. Meanwhile, the Kansas Jayhawks’ only losses this season are against Texas and the Oklahoma State Cowboys, with both defeats coming on the road. Kansas is the superior football team and it should have plenty of success through the air, leading to an eighth Jayhawks victory.
- Prediction: Kansas Jayhawks 35, Texas Tech Red Raiders 27

Tulsa Golden Hurricanes vs No. 23 Tulane Green Wave
- Total: 53.5
- Spread: Tulane -23.5
The Tulane Green Wave haven’t exactly been playing their best football as of late, narrowly escaping road tests against Rice (30-28) and East Carolina (13-10) with victories. Returning home is meant to aid a lot of issues and it helps to face a sub-.500 Tulsa program that lost 60-10 to SMU and was crushed by Rice. Tulane will win, we just can’t bank on outright dominance right now.
- Prediction: Tulane Green Wave 34, Tulsa Golden Hurricanes 21

Colorado Buffaloes vs No. 21 Arizona Wildcats
- Total: 54.5
- Spread: Arizona -10
The demotion of Colorado Buffaloes offensive coordinator Sean Lewis only made things worse and it didn’t fix the team’s biggest problems. As Colorado goes from national darling to now drawing scrutiny and mockery, the Arizona Wildcats enter coming off three consecutive victories over a ranked opponent. Quarterback Noah Fifita should have a monster day against the Buffaloes’ defense.
- Prediction: Arizona Wildcats 38, Colorado Buffaloes 28

No. 25 Kansas State Wildcats vs Baylor Bears
- Total: 55.0
- Spread: Kansas State -20.5
It’s been a disastrous season for the Baylor Bears. Not only has Baylor’s defense allowed more than 30 points per game since Sept. 23, its offense is also struggling with nothing going on the ground. Meanwhile, the Kansas State Wildcats just went into Texas and took the Longhorns into overtime. These two programs are headed in the opposite directions.
- Prediction: Kansas State Wildcats 30, Baylor Bears 13

Miami Hurricanes vs No. 4 Florida State Seminoles
- Total: 51.0
- Spread: Florida State -14.5
In the past three games, the Miami Hurricanes offense has averaged just 310 total yards per game (419 ypg on the season) and 21 points per game (30.1 PPG on the year). While the Hurricanes have the firepower to accomplish more than that, the recent struggles paired with a matchup against one of the best defenses in the Power 5 are a dangerous combination. As long as Jordan Travis is accurate, he’s proven he can have success against any defense with or without his top pass-catchers.
- Prediction: Florida State Seminoles 28, Miami Hurricanes 17

Np. 18 Utah Utes vs No. 5 Washington Huskies
- Total: 50.0
- Spread: Washington -9.5
The Utah Utes haven’t had quarterback Cam Rising all season and while they’ve been good enough to stay competitive, this is their toughest test of the season. Kyle Whittingham’s defense is excellent, but we have seen them struggle at times against elite college quarterbacks with great aerial attacks. Fortunately for the Huskies, Utah’s offense just doesn’t have enough firepower to win a shootout.
- Prediction: Washington Huskies 34, Utah Utes 27
No. 13 Tennessee Volunteers vs No. 14 Missouri Tigers
- Total: 57.0
- Spread: Tennessee -1.5
It’s a major surprise to see the Tennessee Volunteers favored over the Missouri Tigers in Week 11. Both quarterbacks are prone to poor play, but Mizzou has proven to be the better college football team this year. Even on a neutral field Missouri would be our pick, with home-field advantage just providing the Tigers with another edge.
- Prediction: Missouri Tigers 34, Tennessee Volunteers 28

No. 15 Oklahoma State Cowboys vs Central Florida Knights
- Total: 65.5
- Spread: Oklahoma State -2.5
We had the Oklahoma State Cowboys out of our top-25 rankings until they proved themselves last Saturday with a monumental victory to end the Bedlam Rivalry. While it’s possible Mike Gundy’s team could have a letdown performance on the road in Week 11, it shouldn’t be bad enough to the point where they lose.
- Prediction: Oklahoma State Cowboys 37, UCF Knights 27

Rutgers Scarlet Knights vs No. 22 Iowa Hawkeyes
- Total: 28.0
- Spread: Iowa -1.5
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights put up a phenomenal fight against Ohio State, but ultimately fell just short. One would think the Scarlet Knights might have a better shot to win in Week 11 in a lower-scoring game, but Iowa’s defense is likely too suffocating rot Rutgers to close this one out.
- Prediction: Iowa Hawkeyes 16, Rutgers Scarlet Knights 10

Stanford Cardinal vs No. 12 Oregon State Beavers
- Total: N/A
- Spread: N/A
While the Stanford Cardinal have shown a bit of fight this year under their head coach, the Oregon State Beavers have an underrated defense with one of the best head coaches in the Pac-12 Conference. While Oregon State doesn’t win a lot of games in dominant fashion, Saturday should be one of them.
- Prediction: Oregon State Beavers 28, Stanford 10

No. 9 Ole Miss Rebels vs No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs
- Total: 58.5
- Spread: Georgia -10.5
We’ve been critical of the Georgia Bulldogs this season for playing down to their competition at times. One thing you can always bet on with Kirby Smart’s teams is that they’ll rise to the occasion against ranked opponents. In front of a raucous crowd, led by defense and the ground game, Georgia should deliver a statement victory over the Rebels.
- Prediction: Georgia Bulldogs 27, Ole Miss Rebels 13
West Virginia Mountaineers vs No. 17 Oklahoma Sooners
- Total: 58.5
- Spread: Oklahoma -12.5
The CFP odds and Heisman Trophy campaign are gone for the Oklahoma Sooners and Dillon Gabriel. At this point, it’s all about trying to redeem the season with some blowout victories to improve which bowl game the Sooners are invited to in December.
- Prediction: Oklahoma Sooners 38, West Virginia Mountaineers 24
Michigan State Spartans vs No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes
- Total: 47.5
- Spread: Ohio State -31.5
While quarterback Kyle McCord hasn’t taken the leap many wanted to see, it’s not needed right now. Marvin Harrison Jr, TreVeyon Henderson and one of the best defenses in the country is more than enough to carry this team to victories, including against Michigan State.
- Prediction: Ohio State Buckeyes 34, Michigan State Spartans 6
Florida Gators vs No. 19 LSU Tigers
- Total: 65.5
- Spread: LSU Tigers
Losing to three top-10 teams is painful, but makes it so much worse for the LSU Tigers is how much is being put to waste. The Tigers’ passing game his historically good and arguably deserves to be in the CFP. Unfortunately, we’ll now have to settle for Jayden Daniels and Co. taking out their frustrations on Florida’s defense in Week 11.
- Prediction: LSU Tigers 38, Florida Gators 28
USC Trojans vs No. 9 Oregon Ducks
- Total: 76.0
- Spread: Oregon -15.5
Caleb Williams has already been let down this season by Lincoln Riley. A defensive coordinator change was made far too late and even with Alex Grinch gone, it won’t be enough to turn things around. Bo Nix and Co. will view this as an opportunity to not only bury a rival even further but to prove Oregon is one of the most well-rounded teams in college football.
- Prediction: Oregon Ducks 52, USC Trojans 31
