Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders flexed to Sunday night with playoff spot on the line

The Las Vegas Raiders are one win from a playoff spot following a huge road win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

What an absolutely amazing story this would be given the drama that has enveloped Las Vegas this season, including the resignation of head coach Jon Gruden and arrest of star wide receiver Henry Ruggs after he killed a woman while driving drunk.

The only thing now standing between these Las Vegas Raiders and a spot in the playoffs are the division rival Los Angeles Chargers. The two bitter rivals will do battle Week 18 in Las Vegas.

The NFL just announced that said game has been flexed to Sunday night.

This makes a ton of sense given that it’s a do-or-die game for both the Chargers and Raiders. The winner will be playing postseason football while the loser will go home for the winter.

Back in Week 4, Justin Herbert led the Chargers to a 28-14 win over the Raiders on “Monday Night Football.” It’s a game that saw the sophomore signal caller complete 25-of-38 passes with three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

As for Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, he threw two touchdowns and an interception while being sacked four times.

For the NFL, it couldn’t ask for a bigger matchup in the final “Sunday Night Football” game of the season. Allegiant Stadium just off the Vegas strip will be rocking big time with a playoff spot on the line Week 18. That’s for sure.
