Fantasy football waiver wire Week 7: Quarterbacks
Desmond Ridder, Atlanta Falcons
Topping 300 passing yards for a second straight week, Desmond Ridder is a top waiver wire target at QB for Week 7. Despite last throwing three picks, he scored two TDs and still finished as a top-five fantasy QB in Week 6. He’s worth an add if your team is ailing at the position.
Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints
Carr seems to be past his shoulder injury and had his best fantasy performance to date in Week 6 (353 passing yards and one TD). This makes him a top waiver priority for Week 7 if he’s available due to his previously dropped status.
Malik Cunningham, New England Patriots
Malik Cunningham is a deep waiver wire pickup in Week 7 to stash or a dynasty QB to hold while the Patriots figure out their offense. Mac Jones is clearly floundering and Cunningham was newly signed to three years in NE. Stay tuned.
Tyson Bagent, Chicago Bears
For those absolutely desperate at QB, Tyson Bagent will start with Justin Fields looking doubtful to play in Week 7. The rookie last completed 10-of-14 passes for 83 yards and threw a pick. Those in dual quarterback leagues facing this massive bye week may have no other choice but to start Bagent against the Raiders on Sunday.
Fantasy football waiver wire Week 7: Running Backs
Jordan Mason, Elijah Mitchell, San Francisco 49ers
Jordan Mason and Elijah Mitchell will be top fantasy football waiver wire pickups in Week 7 with Christian McCaffrey nursing an oblique injury. In the event CMC misses any time, these RBs will step in. Mason is the top target, being the healthier of the two entering Week 7.
Zach Evans, Los Angeles Rams
Ankle injuries to both Kyren Williams and Ronnie Rivers could force Evans into a starting role in Week 7, making him a high waiver-wire priority for those in dire need of a viable fantasy RB. However, look for the Rams to potentially sign a veteran with the sudden void they’ve suffered at the position.
Kareem Hunt, Cleveland Browns
After last recording a season-high 15 touches for 71 yards and a TD against a tough 49ers defense, Kareem Hunt should be a top waiver wire priority in Week 7. Perhaps the team is looking to upgrade Hunt to his former role to become more involved as a counterpart to Jerome Ford.
Latavius Murray, Buffalo Bills
For those nursing a depleted RB roster, Latavius Murray may have more fantasy relevance in Buffalo due to the Damien Harris injury. He’s not the most appealing waiver wire option, but he should have an enhanced role behind James Cook moving ahead.
Craig Reynolds, Detroit Lions
With David Montgomery injured once again, Craig Reynolds is a top waiver wire stash should both Monty and Jahymr Gibbs miss Week 7. Though, temper expectations for week 7 against a Baltimore team that has yielded only one RB-rushing TD all year.
Fantasy football waiver wire Week 7: Wide Receivers
Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans Saints
After compiling 103 total yards and a touchdown on Sunday, Rashid Shaheed will gain steam on the Week 7 waiver wire. With Carr playing healthy, Shaheed will be a top wide receiver pickup for Week 7.
Jauan, Jennings, San Francisco 49ers
Injuries to the 49ers (CMC and Deebo Samuel) make Jauan Jennings a deeper waiver wire priority for Week 7 for those thin at the WR spot. Jennings could see an uptick in production when the 49ers look to get back on track against the Vikings on Monday. Note that the Vikings currently give up the third-most WR fantasy points.
Rashee Rice, Kansas City Chiefs
Rice has exceeded his fantasy prediction for the last two games, making him an appealing Week 7 waiver wire pickup for those facing some vacant roster spots. The Chiefs next play the Chargers who have surrendered the second-most WR fantasy points.
Fantasy football waiver wire Week 7: Tight Ends
Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans
If Schultz gets dropped to the waivers due to the Texans taking a bye this week, pick him up! Schultz has scored three weeks in a row and racked up double-digits in fantasy points. He and C.J. Stroud are really hitting their stride.
Michael Mayer, Las Vegas Raiders
Mayer just had his best rookie performance of the year, catching five-of-six targets for 75 yards in a victory over New England. This will make him a popular waiver wire TE target as the Raiders head to Chicago next. The Bears have been seventh-worst in defending opposing tight ends.
