Seven-time Pro Bowler Antonio Brown hit with arrest warrant

NFL free agent and seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Antonio Brown just can’t stay out of the news for all the wrong reasons.

That now includes the enigmatic star being hit with an arrest warrant in Florida over unpaid child support.

“According to court documents, the order was issued by a Miami-Dade County, Fla. judge on April 14 after Brown had allegedly ducked payments that he had been required to make to his ex, Wiltrice Jackson,” TMZ Sports report on Antonio Brown arrest warrant.

According to the report, Brown can be released from custody if he pays $30,000. The Florida judge who issued the warrant ruled that it will be applied to his unpaid child support.

As you might remember, Brown and Wiltrice Jackson were in the news back in 2019 during his brief stint with the New England Patriots. She had accused him of domestic battery despite Brown never being charged with a crime.

A former star of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Brown last suited up in an NFL game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 2021. His time in Tampa came to an abrupt end when he left the field in the middle of a game against the New York Jets.

Following his release, Brown made waves by going after then-Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.

Antonio Brown has a laundry list of off-field issues, including a warrant for his arrest late last year after he was accused of domestic battery involving another parther. However, said warrant was ultimately withdrawn after the victim recanted her story.

Antonio Brown stats: 928 receptions, 12,291 yards, 79 TD

A sixth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2010, Brown was once the most-productive receiver in the NFL. From 2013-18, he averaged 114 receptions for 1,524 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Unfortunately, a rift with then-Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and the organization led to a trade to the then-Oakland Raiders in March of 2019. Brown did not play a single snap with the Raiders after a confrontation with general manager Mike Mayock.

The same day he was released by Oakland, Brown signed a one-year contract with the New England Patriots. He played just one game with that team after more off-field issues.

Despite winning a Super Bowl with the Buccaneers following the 2020 season, Brown’s actions led to his departure from the organization. Given his off-field antics since, it’s hard to imagine him ever playing in the NFL again.
