Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were facing a tough go at it against a bad New York Jets team Sunday afternoon in Jersey.
New York led by the score of 17-10 at the half and actually held the lead late into the fourth quarter. The backdrop here being Antonio Brown absolutely losing his mind and nearly stripping as he left the game in the second half. That’s obviously going to be the talk of the media following the game.
However, it’s Tom Terrific who came up big sans Brown late in the final stanza. Down 24-20 with a mere 15 seconds left, Brady hit Cyril Grayson for a 33-yard touchdown for the win.
Talk about an absolutely clutch pass from Tom Brady to win the game. Just amazing. He ended up leading the Bucs on a 93-yard touchdown drive without a single timeout.
Brady, 44, ended up completing 34-of-50 passes for 410 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Filling in for Brown, Grayson caught 6-of-8 targets for 81 yards, including that touchdown. Rob Gronkowski went for 115 yards on seven catches.
By virtue of this win Tampa Bay moved to 12-4 on the season and is still alive in the race for the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
